Underground Containers | Pescara, Italy

At the heart of the city, an innovative solution for urban waste management The city of Pescara is taking a significant step toward a more modern, sustainable, and efficient urban model with the installation of ESA's underground waste containers in the city center’s main squares. This choice combines functionality, environmental responsibility, and urban decorum, offering a practical solution for areas with high foot traffic. Technology at the service of urban aesthetics The new underground containers are designed to integrate seamlessly into the urban landscape, with only the waste disposal inlets visible at street level. Waste is collected in special containers located beneath the surface, offering clear advantages: Reduction of odor emissions , thanks to the underground isolation of waste; Improved hygiene and safety , even in crowded public spaces; Optimization of public areas , with minimal visual impact; Ease of access and use , for both citizens and sanitation workers. This solution raises the quality standards of waste collection, helping to make the city center cleaner, more orderly, and more livable for everyone. An example of urban sustainability The adoption of underground containers demonstrates how technological innovation can be a key driver of the ecological transition in our cities. It’s not just about better waste disposal—it’s about rethinking how we live and design public spaces in a more sustainable and responsible way. The project in Pescara is part of a broader urban regeneration and innovation strategy, where ESA is proud to offer cutting-edge solutions that meet the needs of public administrations and help improve citizens' quality of life. A cleaner city is a more livable city The partnership with Pescara is yet another example of how technology, design, and sustainability can coexist in harmony. Through targeted initiatives and intelligent solutions, we are working together to build cities that are not only more beautiful and functional, but also more respectful of the environment.

2AS Containers | Ferrara di Monte Baldo (VR)

More efficient waste sorting in Ferrara di Monte Baldo thanks to ESA’s HDPE containers In the charming setting of Ferrara di Monte Baldo, in the province of Verona, waste sorting takes a step forward with the introduction of HDPE containers manufactured by ESA. This practical initiative combines functionality, environmental awareness, and attention to the local area, with the goal of making waste management easier and more efficient in a natural environment of great value. Simpler and more organized waste collection The new containers are designed to ensure order, clarity, and ease of use. Each container is dedicated to a specific waste fraction (paper, plastic, glass, organic waste, residual dry waste), making disposal easier for citizens and helping improve the overall quality of waste sorting. This visual and functional separation reduces mistakes and promotes responsible, informed behavior — even during periods of high tourist traffic. Why choose HDPE containers? The use of recycled HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is not a random choice, but a true commitment to the environment. This strong yet lightweight material offers several advantages: High durability , even in extreme weather conditions Easy to clean and maintain Resistance to impacts and corrosion Reduced environmental impact thanks to the reuse of recycled plastic Choosing HDPE means promoting a circular economy model that gives new life to waste materials by turning them into useful, long-lasting products. A concrete step toward more mindful and sustainable waste management. 💙 A greener future for a territory worth protecting Ferrara di Monte Baldo is a shining example of how even small municipalities can play a key role in a real and effective ecological transition. In an area surrounded by nature, between Lake Garda and the Monte Baldo Natural Park, environmental protection is a core value. With this initiative, ESA reinforces its commitment to supporting local communities by offering customized solutions that combine technology, sustainability, and respect for the landscape. Because every territory has its own needs, and every small step can help build a cleaner, more environmentally friendly future.

The “CeStò” for the Municipality of L'Aquila

L'Aquila Embraces Sustainability and Safety with the New #CeStò Bins! In view of the 2024 Christmas holidays, the Municipality of L'Aquila has started installing new waste collection bins in the historic center of the city. This innovative project, which marks a significant step toward a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable city, is the result of a major initiative by the Ecological Transition Department, in collaboration with PNRR, PNC, and Civil Protection funds. The new CeStò bins, already successfully adopted by the city of Rome , are made from recycled high-density polyethylene , a completely recyclable material that meets the highest environmental standards. Their robustness and resistance to weather conditions make them ideal for outdoor installation, while the self-extinguishing and anti-terrorism material provides an additional level of public safety, preventing dangerous situations and increasing protection for citizens. Another distinguishing feature of the new CeStò bins is the integrated ashtray , designed to promote responsible behavior among smokers. This feature helps reduce pollution caused by cigarette butts and improves the city's aesthetic and environmental quality by preventing such waste from being indiscriminately thrown on public land. With this intervention, L'Aquila firmly establishes itself as one of the cities most focused on sustainability and safety, starting an urban renewal path that prepares it to take on the role of Italian Capital of Culture 2026 . The project not only improves the city's appearance but also represents a concrete commitment to environmental protection and the promotion of responsible citizenship. ESA is particularly proud to contribute to this ambitious project, reaffirming its commitment to adopting innovative solutions that enhance livability and sustainability in our cities. Stop Violence Against Women

Violence Against Women: An Emergency That Requires Everyone's Commitment On November 25th, we observe the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women . This day represents much more than just a commemoration: it is a call to action, reflection, and, above all, collective responsibility. The numbers speak for themselves: violence against women remains one of the most widespread and persistent human rights violations in the world. It is not just physical violence but a multifaceted phenomenon. As a company, we prioritize the creation of a fair and respectful work environment. This commitment was recently recognized with the achievement of the Gender Equality Certification , a milestone that fills us with pride but also motivates us to do even more. This certification represents a solid foundation from which to implement increasingly effective policies to promote gender equality and combat all forms of discrimination and violence. We believe that gender equality in the workplace is closely linked to the fight against violence against women. A professional environment that ensures equal opportunities and promotes a culture of respect actively contributes to dismantling the stereotypes that often lie at the root of violent behaviors. Violence against women is not just a women's issue but one that concerns society as a whole. Only through the daily commitment of each of us can we build a future where respect and equality are no longer an aspiration, but a shared reality.
