The advanced waste collection system

2AS Two Automatic System

Equipped with a robotic arm featuring the lightest and most versatile bilateral-loading system on the market.

Complete, modular waste collection system

Flexible configuration. Single-operator operation. Remote assistance.

2AS: complete and versatile

The waste collection system designed by ESA combines a robotic arm with bilateral and vertical loading, a compactor, a container washer and above-ground container, making 2AS one of the most complete and versatile solutions on the market.
Easy to install on any type of vehicle, the 2AS arm collects above-ground and underground containers using the Kinshofer or F-90 gripper and handles solar-powered compactors, helping to maximise the efficiency of separate waste collection.

2AS: the collection system tailor-made for your city

ESA offers complete freedom of choice: you can select individual modules or combine different components which are fully compatible and easy to integrate with those already in use.
Configuration support
Thanks to our in-house software, we can identify the tailor-made solution to set up the vehicle and waste collection system.

A new way of rethinking waste collection

Measurable. Efficient. Sustainable.
We provide more than just an urban waste management system: we deliver a waste collection solution based on an industrial approach. The result is an operating model that combines energy efficiency, data monitoring, flow traceability and complete visibility across the entire collection process.

With the 2AS automated system, efficiency paves the way

Full operational cycle | 65 seconds

Reduced cycle times resulting in lower emissions.

Worker health

The operational cycle takes place from the cab, reducing workers’ exposure to pollutants and pathogens and helping to minimise the risk of long-term health issues.

The best route

The fill-level detection system installed on the containers enables collection to be scheduled, avoiding unnecessary emptying and reducing CO2 emissions.

The result: costs up to 6 times lower

Depending on the type of waste collected, operating area and distance from the container’s location to the homes served, costs can be up to six times lower compared with traditional door-to-door collection.

How 2AS simplifies
and improves waste collection efficiency

The benefits of lightweight equipment and robotic arm

Bilateral collection

Allows greater flexibility in positioning the road waste containers.

Double-row lifting

Overcomes obstacles in front of the container.

Extended compatibility

Robotic equipment can be installed on a wide range of vehicles: the gripping system is compatible with containers equipped with various types of Kinshofer and F90 grippers.

9,500 kg* lifting capacity

Thanks to the lightweight equipment, a higher load capacity can be achieved, increasing disposal autonomy and reducing the number of trips required for emptying: lower emissions of CO2

*using 3-axle, 26-Tonne vehicles equipped with fixed compactors

The benefits of IoT technology integration

Controlled Access

The service manager can encourage responsible citizen behaviour by recording waste disposal data: users can easily access the service via SMARTPHONE or CARD.

Transmission of operating parameters

The sensors installed on the container detect the fill level, notifying the system when emptying is required, and reporting any anomalies in real time.

24/7 remote assistance and monitoring

To maintain equipment performance and efficiency over time, ESA offers continuous software updates and 24/7 remote assistance. The system is continuously updated, significantly reducing the need for routine maintenance.

UHF recognition system

The UHF tag attached to the container enables the system to identify the type of waste and monitor the operational status of the container, while GPS technology tracks its location.
