14 June 2025Rome Renews Its Trust in ESA’s Sustainable Solutions with 600 New HDPE Containers
The city of Rome continues to invest in urban sustainability by renewing its trust in ESA’s innovative solutions with the recent installation of 600 new HDPE containers dedicated to the separate collection of paper, plastic, organic waste, and mixed refuse. This new supply, launched a few weeks ago, represents an important step forward in improving the quality of service and the recycling experience for citizens in the Capital.
The new containers stand out for their advanced functionality: thanks to wider disposal openings, the daily act of recycling becomes simpler and more accessible, encouraging greater citizen participation in separate waste collection practices. The choice to enlarge the openings responds directly to real user needs, making waste disposal more practical and faster.
A key element of this supply is the use of recycled plastic in the manufacture of the containers. This material not only helps reduce the environmental impact of production but also brings tangible benefits in use: the HDPE containers are designed to limit unpleasant odors, prevent liquid stagnation, and reduce noise during disposal, thus improving urban decor and the quality of life in the affected areas.
The adoption of recycled materials and attention to technical details confirm ESA’s commitment to promoting a true circular economy, where each product is conceived to be sustainable not only throughout its lifecycle but also in its production.
This initiative has been made possible thanks to ongoing collaboration with the City of Rome and AMA S.p.A., key partners who share the vision of a cleaner, more orderly, and responsible city. Together, we continue to work toward making the Capital a virtuous example of waste management and sustainable innovation.
