The first solar compactor in Southern Italy arrives in Taranto.
The new Kyma Ambiente photovoltaic compactor was presented yesterday in the presence of the Mayor of Taranto Rinaldo Melucci, the President of Kyma Ambiente Giampiero Mancarelli, the Councilor for the Subsidiaries and Environment Paolo Castronovi and our Vice President Giorgia Iasoni.
The 12 m³ KS series compactor, equipped with a high volumetric capacity and numerous safety and control systems, will support the collection of multi-material (plastic, metal, paper and cardboard) in the historic center and, thanks to the ease of handling, it will be moved to the market areas to meet the temporary needs of the collection.
Recharged by the renewable energy of the sun thanks to the photovoltaic panels on the roof, the KS12 does not require electricity and represents a perfect example of circular economy, embracing the will of the Municipality to experiment with innovative forms to move towards the closed waste cycle in a increasingly sustainable way.
